In the past several people have asked if it is possible to read the LS3/5a
Yahoogroup archive offline. Thanks to an email from David Lefebvre it is now
possible.
To read the group messages offline:
1. Download and install the 30 day trial version of P
G Offline
2. Make sure you have a copy of Winzip
installed, the archive is zipped
3. Download the LS3/5a yahoogroup archive, unzip
and save it, then import the ygrpack.mdb file into P G Offline. This download
includes messages from number 1 on April 16 2000 up to number 13620 on 21 June
2004. Please note that the current archive file size is about 14Mb but once
you have the full download you can use P G Offline to "top up" your
personal archive with the latest messages from the group.
P G Offline allows you to read any of the messages in the archive, check the
statistics and undertake searches for particular topics or individuals. Fantastic!
You can also reply to messages using P G Offline's built in, or your own, mail
client.
